Start Period

We often equate having a period with completely stopping your training. However, during this phase of the menstrual cycle which affects women's well-being and pace of life, maintaining physical activity can nonetheless be beneficial.

Perhaps, during your period, you experience lots of fatigue. Maybe you can’t keep up with your schedule. You might have "severe" premenstrual syndrome. FizzUp and the Period program’s week of active recovery will address whatever issues you have.

As long as you don’t overdo things and know how to listen to your body, doing exercise during your period is not only fine but encouraged!

Physical activity during your period can improve your mood and reduce your fatigue and period pains (exercise helps blood circulation in the pelvis area, which means less pain).

Even though exercise is often the last thing that some women want to do during their period, it has been shown that maintaining physical activity during this time can alleviate several symptoms linked to the menstrual cycle like cramps, fatigue, and weakness.

FizzUp offers you daily training sessions between 10 and 20 minutes that energize you, loosen you up, and that you can do in the comfort of your living room.

Each day you’re given a selection of more or less low-intensity exercises adapted to your personal preferences and doable during your period.

All you need to do is choose! The app handles the rest.

Each day you’ll find:

Very light strength exercises - you’ll be able to progress on these movements, yet they won’t be too intense - you’ll keep rested.

Light and low impact cardio - basic movements to maintain a minimal level of daily activity.

Yoga - an excellent form of exercise for period cramps. Yoga postures are perfect for loosening up your core.

Stretching, mobility, and relaxation exercises - perfect for relaxing your muscles, reducing cramps, and assessing pains, allowing you to listen to your body.

Even though you should take certain precautions, if you wish to train during your period, nothing should stop you from doing so.

Period is a week of active recovery with short, equipment-free, fun, and easy-to-do sessions that allow you to rest, recover and re-energize.
